I Must Have A Spectral Tiger
By Cameron Sorden | July 25, 2007
Oh. My. God. Lookie:

That would be the new mount available in the latest expansion to the WoW card game. It’s the rarest card in the set, and I absolutely must have one for my blood elf rogue. Unlike previous vanity mounts, this one is actually a real mount. It comes in both level 40 and level 60 flavors (and runs at the appropriate speeds), so I could be tooling around the badlands on a freaking spectral tiger instead of some stupid chocobo (I’m sorry chocobo).
Sadly, I’m not about to go into some kind of Warcraft card buying frenzy with no one to play with (as if the odds of getting one weren’t ridiculous anyway), and the ones that are up on eBay right now are selling for between $450 and $600. Sigh. At those prices, I’d probably have to sell it even if I did buy packs and did pull one. Actually, nah… I think I’d rather have the tiger. But still. Not paying $500 for a videogame mount. People are crazy.
I’ll have to wait for prices to drop… $50, I might consider. God, I want that tiger. Damnit. I can feel my old Magic: The Gathering itch kick in and whisper softly, “Well, you could just buy a few boxes of cards… trading card games are oh so much fun and you might just pull a tiger…”
Sigh.

Cool, but I prefer this one: http://dungeonrun.com/2007/07/27/darkfall-aerdin-mount-video/
I wish I still had the screenshot of my wookiee creature-handler from SWG with his pet snake. I forget the name, but it had a spectral look like that cat.

I’ll be watching the prices on ebay. $500.00 for a bunch of polygons on a screen is pretty friggin rediculous.

You know you want to buy some cards, me and my friends did and we pulled a loot card outta the first box, course it was just banannas the monkey for a pet, but still cool.

Here is the scoop…Your chances of pulling the Spectral Tiger mount card breaks down like this.
1 card in every 576 packs.
24 packs per box
24 boxes at $60.00 each = $1,440
Now, even if you spent that amount.. it is still no guarantee you would get the card.. just a very good possibility.
So, maybe spending the $450 to $600 for this card on ebay is not such a bad idea after all. Unless you are feeling extremely lucky!

Ah, but if you spent $1440, you’d probably have enough rares and cards in general that you could either take over the world with your awesome decks or sell them to recoup the cost with a little effort.

OK Can anyone steal me a spectral tiger =/ and if not also the probability of a spectral tiger dropping is a 1/569 chance. and for those who is hoping to get prices down it might go up WOW might stop producing the Fires of OUtland

The worst thing about this is once u get the card. Now both cards roughly sell for 100$. So back to the story, once u get the card from a pack, do u sell it for 100$ or to you keep it?
August 17th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
The card is going for 1000$. so I would sell it.

Well thing is youd keep it if it was a lucky 1st time
