Community Manager at Ten Ton Hammer
By Cameron Sorden | May 7, 2007
You may have heard me drop some mysterious hints over the last week or two about how I’m going to be “writing a lot about LOTRO” or “dealing with LOTRO in my new job.” Well, I’ll now drop the veil of secrecy and reveal my exciting news. The only reason I haven’t released the specifics yet is because I wanted to wait until it was official and I was being trained before announcing it to the internet.
Anyway, yes, I’m coming on as a writer and Community Manager for Ten Ton Hammer’s Lord of the Rings Online page. I’m pretty excited about it. Playing an MMO and getting paid to write about it is pretty much as close to “living the dream” as it gets for me. It might even take a few weeks for the fanboi excitement to be replaced with stoically journalistic passivity (that’s a joke).
The long and short of it is I’ll be doing regular news updates, articles, forum poking, blogging, and general site management for them. I’m rather excited. My first news post went up today, actually (you can read it here). Bear with me. It was a practice post that I made while I was being introduced to their CMS.
Starting tomorrow, I’ll be posting regular content updates and soon I’ll also keep a blog there (that will make three for me– private, this one, and TTH). I’ll try to cross-post whenever I write something new on the TTH one. My first major order of business for the site once I really sink my claws in will be to get some class guides up. I know that they’re out there. I want to track them down and get permission to get them up. I feel like reliable and organized LOTRO info is scattered on the web right now.
Anyway, stop by and check it out some time. Should be some good stuff there in the coming weeks (I hope).

How you think when the economic crisis will end? I wish to make statistics of independent opinions!

Things will change and people will find something else to worry about.
